Healthy Kids, Healthy Community

Helping People and Communities Thrive

Health and well-being are essential to strong communities.

Through Healthy Kids, Healthy Community, Junior League of Raleigh members work alongside community organizations and lead programs that support physical, mental, and emotional well-being across Wake County.

From addressing food insecurity and supporting children with disabilities to bringing music and connection to older adults, JLR members put their training, time, and talents to work in meaningful ways.

More Than Volunteer Hours

Every placement offers an opportunity to make an impact while developing the skills and relationships that strengthen our League and our community.

JLR members learn to work alongside nonprofit partners, understand community needs, collaborate, and turn their time and talents into action.

This is what women’s leadership looks like in practice.
