For more than 95 years, the Junior League of Raleigh has brought women together to develop as leaders and put that leadership into action throughout Wake County.
As a local chapter of the Association of Junior Leagues International, the Junior League of Raleigh is an organization of women whose mission is to advance women’s leadership for meaningful community impact through volunteer action, collaboration, and training. Our purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.
Powered by more than 1,200 members, JLR creates opportunities for women to learn, lead, serve, and connect while working alongside organizations and community partners throughout Wake County.
Our Mission in Action
Our mission connects two ideas that have defined JLR for generations:
Developing Women Leaders
JLR provides women with opportunities to build skills, gain hands-on leadership experience, develop meaningful relationships and put their talents to work.
Creating Meaningful Community Impact
Our members use that training and experience through volunteer service, philanthropy, collaboration and partnerships that help strengthen our community.
Women’s leadership and community impact aren’t separate parts of our mission. One makes the other possible.
