Leadership development is at the heart of the Junior League of Raleigh’s mission.
Through hands-on experience, training, mentorship, and service, JLR provides women with opportunities to strengthen their leadership skills while creating meaningful impact within the League and throughout our community.
Our organizational leadership structure brings together members serving on the Board of Directors, Management Council, and Leadership Council, each with distinct responsibilities that help advance JLR’s mission, strengthen our organization, and support our members and community partnerships.

Board of Directors
The Board of Directors provides strategic and governance leadership for the Junior League of Raleigh, helping ensure the organization remains focused on its mission, long-term direction, and organizational stewardship.
Management Council
The Management Council oversees the League’s day-to-day management and works across JLR’s councils to turn organizational strategy into action.
Leadership Council
The Leadership Council brings together the captains, co-captains, assistant captains, and group leaders who lead JLR’s programs, initiatives, member experiences, fundraising efforts, and community work.
