BECOME A MEMBER
Ready to Lead?
Your community needs your leadership, your talents, and your passion.
Every member begins with the New Member Experience—a welcoming introduction to the Junior League of Raleigh, our mission, and the community we serve.
Designed with flexibility in mind, the five-month experience combines leadership development, volunteer service, community engagement, and relationship-building to prepare you for Active Membership.
From your first event, you will discover that the Junior League is about much more than volunteering. It is about learning, growing, building confidence, and finding a community of women who will encourage you every step of the way.
Your New Member Experience
Learn. Lead. Serve.
During your New Member Experience, you will have opportunities to:
- Participate in leadership and League trainings
- Learn about the history, mission, and structure of the Junior League of Raleigh
- Complete a Poverty Simulation
- Volunteer during a Community Impact shift
- Attend a Placement Fair
- Connect with League leaders, mentors and fellow new members
- Explore community issues affecting Wake County
- Discover the committee or placement that best matches your interests, skills and passions
Throughout the experience, you will be supported by dedicated League leaders while building friendships with women who are beginning the same leadership journey.
There is no interview process to join the Junior League of Raleigh.
Once your application, required forms and membership fees are complete, you are officially part of the League.
