Julia Jones Daniels Center for Community Leadership
Our Building
A Home for Leadership. A Space for Community.
The Julia Jones Daniels Center for Community Leadership (CCL) is home to the Junior League of Raleigh and a gathering place where people, organizations, and ideas come together.
Located at 711 Hillsborough Street in Raleigh, the CCL serves as a hub for leadership development, volunteerism, nonprofit collaboration, training, and community engagement.
Owned and operated by the Junior League of Raleigh, the Center also provides flexible meeting and event space for nonprofit organizations, businesses, government agencies, community partners, and other groups.
More Than a Building
The CCL represents the Junior League of Raleigh’s longstanding commitment to strengthening both women leaders and the organizations serving our community.
Within these walls, JLR members participate in leadership training. Volunteers plan community initiatives. Nonprofit organizations collaborate. Boards gather to make decisions. Community partners come together around shared goals.
By opening our home to the broader community, the CCL extends the League’s impact beyond our membership and creates a place where meaningful work can happen.
A Home Built for Leadership
In 2008, the Junior League of Raleigh made a transformational investment in its future by purchasing the Matsumoto-designed modernist building at 711 Hillsborough Street.
Today, the building is known as the Julia Jones Daniels Center for Community Leadership, honoring the legacy of longtime Junior League of Raleigh member and former President Julia Jones Daniels.
The Center provides JLR with a permanent home while creating opportunities for nonprofit organizations, businesses, and community partners to gather, learn, collaborate, and lead.
Where Community Comes Together
The CCL hosts a variety of gatherings, including:
- Board and committee meetings

Supporting Community Beyond Our Walls
Your Meeting Makes a Difference
When an organization reserves space at the CCL, it does more than book a room.
Revenue generated through meeting and event rentals helps support the Junior League of Raleigh’s mission and our investments in leadership development, volunteer initiatives, nonprofit partnerships, and meaningful community impact throughout Wake County.
Gathering here helps create impact beyond these walls.
