Brentwood Boys & Girls Club
Helping Young People Discover What’s Possible
Boys & Girls Clubs provide after-school and summer programming designed to help young people build the skills, confidence, and experiences they need to reach their full potential.
The Junior League of Raleigh has a particularly meaningful connection to the Brentwood Boys & Girls Club.
The Brentwood Club was founded in 2006 by the Boys & Girls Club of Wake County with financial support from the Junior League of Raleigh to serve youth in the Brentwood community.

Opening Doors to the Future
Career Exploration in Action
One way JLR helps students imagine their futures is through career exploration.
JLR volunteers have worked with Club staff and community professionals to create career-focused experiences introducing students to fields ranging from STEM and health to the arts, fitness and military service. A previous JLR Career Fair brought more than 15 community presenters together with Brentwood students, giving young people an opportunity to ask questions and learn about different professional paths.
These experiences do more than introduce a career.
They help young people see possibilities.
Learning Beyond the Classroom
Academic skills matter, but so do confidence, character, teamwork, curiosity, and the ability to imagine a future filled with opportunity.
By showing up consistently and building relationships with students, JLR volunteers help reinforce those skills while supporting the broader work of the Boys & Girls Club.
