Interested in the Community Action Poverty Simulation?
Experience the Complexities of Poverty
Understanding a challenge can be an important first step toward addressing it.
The Community Action Poverty Simulation is an interactive experience designed to help participants better understand some of the complex realities faced by individuals and families living with limited resources.
During the simulation, participants step into the roles of families navigating everyday challenges involving housing, employment, transportation, childcare, healthcare, and other basic needs.
Through the experience and facilitated discussion that follows, participants have an opportunity to examine assumptions, better understand interconnected barriers, and consider how organizations and communities can respond.
