The Junior League of Raleigh (JLR) is excited to “lay the foundation” for a new fundraiser with our pilot year of Touch A Truck! Touch A Truck is a fun event for the whole family, granting children of all ages an all access pass to explore, climb and touch trucks, emergency response vehicles and heavy machinery and meet the people who build, protect and serve us in Wake County.

JLR is proud to welcome local agencies’ vehicles from the City of Raleigh Fire Department, City of Raleigh Police Department and Wake County EMS. Area businesses have offered their best on wheels for kids to explore including tractors from John Deere Quality Equipment and a WRAL satellite truck. Children can get their hands on trucks from Old Dominion, Edwards Crane and Waste Industries too. To add to the fun, inflatables will be provided by Coconut Charlie’s “A Bouncing We Will Go” as well as face painting for the kids.

All proceeds from the event benefit the Junior League of Raleigh. Tickets will be available at the door for $5 each, or $15 for a family of four. Touch A Truck will be held Saturday, May 14, 2016, 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the Julia Jones Daniels Center for Community Leadership, 711 Hillsborough Street, Raleigh.
