When we celebrated our 75th anniversary of service
to our community in 2005, the Junior League of Raleigh initiated
a capital campaign to raise funds for a unique community leadership
center- a facility where community partners and the League can engage
in strategic training to better meet the needs of the community.
The proposed facility also will accommodate our administrative offices
and volunteer needs in order to continue to carry out our mission.
Our mission
The Junior League of Raleigh is an organization
of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential
of women and improving the community through the effective action
and leadership of trained volunteers.
Since our founding in 1930, the League has contributed
more that one million volunteer hours and in excess of $4 million
to community projects and programs focusing on education, health
needs and children’s services. Our current focus, Promising Youth,
places volunteers in strategic community partnerships across the
community.
Why a capital
campaign
The Building Without Boundaries Campaign is an opportunity
to be part of a pivotal moment in League history and in
the evolution of our community. We will create a facility
that will be a visible testament to the League’s mission
and value and will enable us to continue our work and
enhance future impact.
