Annual Fund

The Junior League of Raleigh Annual Fund gives you an opportunity to support the League through charitable contributions. The Annual Fund raises money that the Junior League of Raleigh uses to support our community placements like Helping Horse, Heritage Park and Girls on the Run. Money is strictly used for the League’s efforts, involvement and activities in the community.

Donations to the fund enable the League to serve the community and ensure a healthy and proactive organization. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Junior League of Raleigh’s Annual Fund. To mark this monumental occasion, we are asking each Junior League Member to donate 10 cents per day. That is only $36.50 for the entire year. While it does not sound like much, $36.50 can deliver a great deal to our community projects. For example, $36.50 can provide:

• Sashes and manuals for each Girl Scout troop member in the Junior League of Raleigh’s Heritage Park Girl Scout Troop 1830; or

• Water bottles for 14 girls in our Girls on the Run program; or

• Pencils and construction paper to ensure that children have the supplies to do homework at Brentwood Boys and Girls Club.

All gifts are tax deductible and may be designated in honor or memory of someone special. A gift to the Annual Fund is a great way to say thank you, remember a loved one or to commemorate a special occasion. The Junior League of Raleigh will send a special letter to the person you designate on your donor form and post a note in the Link. Help us make history this year by giving a dime a day to create benefits that will last a lifetime for children in our community.

Best of all each person that gives $36.50 between July 1, 2009 and May 1, 2010 will qualify for a $200 Visa gift card to be drawn at the May General Membership Meeting.
