Community Teams

In addition to the grants and needs funding, we award in our target area - "Promising Youth: Changing Lives through the Power of Education" - on an annual basis. We also place hundreds of volunteers in the community in our community team placement system. Each fall, we identify local agencies that have volunteer needs within our target area and interview these agencies for possible volunteer opportunities beginning in the following fall. Our members value the opportunity to work with other League members as "teams" and volunteer opportunities that afford them flexible volunteer times to fit their scheduling needs. Except where indicated, all current Junior League of Raleigh teams involve collaboration with other local agencies.
