The Junior League of Raleigh’s 35th Annual A Shopping SPREE!

The Junior League of Raleigh Hosts Its 35th Annual A Shopping SPREE!

Presented by First Citizens Bank

Raleigh | November 4: Now in their 90th year, The Junior League of Raleigh’s (JLR) popular holiday tradition is back, offering a unique shopping experience while raising money for nonprofit programs in Wake County. A Shopping SPREE! will host more than 160 regional and national exhibitors at the Raleigh Convention Center Nov. 14-17.

Throughout the four-day event, shoppers can enjoy live local entertainment, including choral and dance groups, as they find the latest in fashion and home decor trends, unique gifts and holiday merchandise.

Bring Your Donations to SPREE!

JLR invites shoppers to join in their 90th anniversary celebration and welcome two new community partners: A Note in the Pocket, which provides clothing to impoverished schoolchildren in Wake County with dignity and love, and The Green Chair Project, which reuses donated household furnishings to renew lives of participants referred from area programs who are recovering after homelessness, crisis or disaster.

This year the League’s 90th Anniversary Committee will have bins placed near the escalators at the SPREE! entrance to collect donations.

A Note In The Pocket

The Green Chair Project

“We’re so excited to add The Green Chair and A Note in the Pocket to our community partners,” said Astra Ball, Junior League of Raleigh President. “We’d like to invite shoppers to help support them during this season of giving by dropping off a kitchen utensil for Green Chair or new kids’ underwear for A Note in the Pocket when you come to do your holiday shopping at SPREE!.”
