Caring and compassionate communities don’t just happen. It takes work and commitment from dedicated individuals who understand that giving back to the places we call home is a gift we give to others and to ourselves.
The Junior League’s effectiveness is based in service and training. Its members are among the most active volunteers in the community, and the Junior League of Raleigh offers exceptional training that allows these women to make vital contributions in all facets of their lives, in their jobs, at home and in the community.
But its service goes beyond its own members. The Junior League of Raleigh has taken this critical idea of training a step further by opening up the Julia Jones Daniels Center for Community Leadership, a place where leaders of nonprofits and businesses from across Wake County can meet, train and grow.
The Julia Jones Daniels Center for Community Leadership (CCL), opened in 2010, is available for use by all – nonprofit agencies, individuals, and businesses – for their own meetings. Many nonprofits simply can’t afford the expense of renting meeting space. The CCL fills that gap at an affordable price.
At the Julia Jones Daniels Center for Community Leadership, the JLR sponsors an extensive range of training sessions that are open to all nonprofits, JLR members and the community. The JLR also uses this building as the base for its Capital Leadership Initiative, an innovative and intensive training program for aspiring and established leaders.
The Julia Jones Daniels Center for Community Leadership is a resource that plays a critical role in Wake County’s nonprofit arena. It’s not just a Junior League project serving a niche. Through the CCL, JLR exhibits its commitment to volunteerism and to making Wake County a better place to live and work.
The Julia Jones Daniels Center for Community Leadership is an investment by the Junior League of Raleigh in our community, one that speaks to the power of education and collaboration. The Junior League needs your help to ensure the CCL’s continued vitality. Please consider giving your best gift today.
