Transfers Angel Tree

Team Transfer, the organizers of Angel Tree, ask you to please consider sponsoring a SAFEchild family this holiday season! To sign up for a family and pick up their wish list, visit the Angel Tree table at the GMM or at the CCL on November 18 from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. If you aren’t able to sponsor a family, please consider donating a few rolls of gift wrap or even a gift card to a local grocery store. Share the Pie with StepUp Ministry and Alliance Medical Ministry

Need a dessert for your Thanksgiving meal? Why make your own when you can buy one from Share the Pie? Share the Pie has recruited the best Triangle bakers to bake chocolate, pecan and pumpkin pies this Thanksgiving so you don’t have to! Pies are $25/one pie or $45/two pies. All proceeds from this delicious fundraiser go to support StepUp Ministry and Alliance Medical Ministry, two Triangle organizations doing critical work in our community.

Pie bakers include 18 Seaboard, Angus Barn, Twisted Fork, Slice Pie Company and Boulted Bread. See more about the bakers! You choose your pie flavor, but you won’t know who baked your pie until you open the box. It’s a pie lottery!

Pies are available for convenient pick-up on the Tuesday and Wednesday before Thanksgiving from five different pick-up locations in Raleigh and Cary. There a limited number of pies available, so place your order today!

Triangle Family Services Presents 13th Annual Gingerbread Benefit (December 6)

The 13th Annual Gingerbread Benefit will be held on Sunday, December 6, 2015 at The Umstead Hotel and Spa. All proceeds benefit programs at Triangle Family Services.

The Gingerbread Benefit celebrates the culinary masters in our community. Each year the best chefs and bakers in the Triangle gather at The Umstead Hotel and Spa for the Gingerbread Benefit with incredible gingerbread creations, setting the tone for the holiday season. These creations are viewed, celebrated and then auctioned off at the Evening Benefit. The gingerbread houses created and donated by the Triangle’s finest chefs for the Gingerbread Benefit are symbolic of the foundational support that we provide to the area’s most vulnerable families every day.

Support Triangle Family Services by attending one of the following festive events:

  • A Gingerbread House Sneak Preview: Get the first look at the amazing Gingerbread Houses. Tickets: $25 per guest.
  • Santa’s Gingerbread Workshop: A holiday tea for children. Children are greeted by Santa’s helpers and receive an individual picture with Santa. As Santa shares traditional holiday stories, children can decorate their own gingerbread houses, inspired by many of the one-of-a-kind, handcrafted gingerbread houses on display. The workshop includes specialty treats and drinks designated for children and adults. Tickets: $55 per child / $195 for a family of four. For more information about this event, please visit 13th Annual Gingerbread Benefit. Learn more about Triangle Family Services.

An Evening Benefit Event: The top gingerbread houses, along with other items, will be auctioned off during the evening’s festivities. There will be a silent auction showcasing a variety of items, including vacation homes, art, sporting event tickets and more exciting items from local businesses. Guests will enjoy holiday music, wine, beer, savory delicacies and desserts prepared by The Umstead’s top chefs. Tickets: $125 per guest.
