Team Training Presents The On-Purpose Woman Workshop | April 19
Team Training is hosting a workshop with Mary Tomlinson, President of On-Purpose Partners, LLC, a coaching, facilitation, and consulting firm. Prior to 2001, Mary had an 18-year career with the Walt Disney Company where she was an executive in marketing and a general manager coaching teams of 8 to 800.
The On-Purpose Woman workshop is designed to help participants walk away knowing how to invest time, talents, and assets in what’s most important, discover your two-word personal purpose statement, align your life and business world, and more.
She is the published author of Facilitation Made Easy and co-author of multiple business articles in Meetings & Conventions, Training Magazine, Successful Meetings, HR Innovator, and Inspired Women Magazine.com.
She lives near Raleigh, North Carolina and is the Co-Founder of PCW (Professional Christian Women). She and her husband love North Carolina and following the adventures of their two grown children and granddaughters.
The workshop begins with a social at 6:30 p.m. and workshop to begin at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 19th at the Julia Jones Daniels Center for Community Leadership.

The Junior League of Raleigh and Belk are proud to present Love My League, a premier shopping event and signature fundraiser (formally known as Fashion Forward) celebrating the season’s must-have fashions. Proceeds from the fundraiser benefit the Junior League of Raleigh and the local organizations that we support. The benefit will take place at the Belk Crabtree Valley Mall from 6 to 9:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 17. This glamorous evening of spring fashion and fun at Belk includes giveaways, raffle prizes and a showcase of this season’s fashion trends.

Meet, Eat & Discover: Health Benefits of Clean Renewable Energy will be Thursday, April 7 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the N.C. Museum of Natural Sciences on the 4th floor. Our esteemed panel includes Dr. Katharine Hayhoe, renowned climate scientist and HBO documentary host, Greg Fishel, chief meteorologist at WRAL, and Dr. Jennifer Caicedo, Charlotte allergist who treats adults and children with asthma and allergies. The panel will explore how climate change affects our health and whether expanding clean renewable energy will protect our children’s health and the health of the most vulnerable in our population. The Center for Volunteer Caregiving – Red Carpet Rendezvous | April 14
The 2016 Red Carpet Rendezvous, open to the public, will take place on Thursday, April 14 from 6:30 pm – 10:00 pm at North Ridge Country Club. The evening events will include signature cocktails, fabulous auction items, dinner, dancing to music of the decades and the legendary wall of wine! Heartwarming stories of care receivers and their caregivers will be woven into the program throughout the night. The event promises to be an evening to remember. “Our annual gala has the biggest impact on our ability to serve Wake seniors and adults with disabilities,” said Lynn Templeton, Center for Volunteer Caregiving Executive Director and Member of Wake County’s Aging Network “with the funds raised during this year’s gala we will be able to grow our volunteer base through expanded recruitment efforts aimed at multi-generational volunteers.” Title sponsor of this year’s event is WakeMed Health, a longtime corporate supporter whose employees have been actively volunteering with the Center since its founding.
