Donate to BackPack Buddies at Small Group Meetings
BackPack Buddies and Team Transfer will be collecting food items for the BackPack Buddies program at the February Small Group Meetings (February 9). Please bring a few cans of fruit, vegetables or packages of shelf-stable milk or juice boxes to help continue supporting our local community. Team Transfer and Team BackPack Buddies members will collect the food and deliver it to the CCL. If you aren’t able to participate in the Small Group Meetings but still want to support our food drive, please drop off donations directly at the CCL by 4 p.m. on Tuesday, February 9. Thank you for your support!

Sustainer NC State Hunt Library Tour and Lunch: Sign up now – 1 spot left!
Join us on Tuesday, February 16 from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. for a tour of the James B. Hunt Jr. Library followed by lunch. The state-of-the-art library is located on NC State’s Centennial Campus. Lunch will take place at the Carol Johnson Poole Clubhouse Terrace Dining Room, Lonnie Poole Golf Course, known for its views of the Raleigh skyline. This event is open to Sustainers only and limited to 20 attendees. The tour is free and lunch is on your own tab. Online RSVP is required. For assistance, contact 919-787-7480 ext. 1016. Join SAFEchild for a February Lunch & Learn. | Feb. 3
Enjoy a complimentary lunch generously donated by Moonlight Pizza and hear from SAFEchild’s Welcome Baby Program Coordinator, Michelle Putterman, RN from noon to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, February 3 at the SAFEchild Advocacy Center, 2815 Kidd Road, Raleigh, NC. Michelle Putterman pairs experienced moms with first-time moms for a year of in-home visits and mentoring. Through the support and information provided by this program, Michelle has helped more than 1,400 babies in Wake County experience a safe and nurturing environment.
Kendra Scott Fundraiser for Camp Corral | Feb. 4
Camp Corral, a Raleigh-based nonprofit that provides free summer camps for children of wounded, disabled and fallen military members, is having a fundraiser at the Kendra Scott jewelry store at South Point mall in Durham on Thursday, Feb. 4 from 6:00-8:00. Twenty percent of all sales will be donated to Camp Corral.
There are a couple of ways people can participate. First, they can join us at the store during the fundraiser. Please RSVP to Jean-Luc Rivera (email@example.com) if you plan to attend.

Appetite for Art | April 9
Appetite for Art is a fundraiser benefiting the Boys and Girls Clubs of Wake County. Please join us for an evening of local food, art, silent auctions and music by Raleigh’s Sidecar Social Club. The event on April 19 starts at 6:30 p.m. for VIP ticket holders and 7:30 p.m. for General Admission and goes until 10 p.m. at CAM Raleigh, 409 W. Martin Street. VIP tickets: $125, General admission tickets: $75.
Tickets will go on sale in early February and may be purchased through the Appetite for Art website. VIP tickets include early admission to view the art, food and unlimited drinks. General Admissions tickets include food and 2 drink tickets with more tickets available for purchase.
