StepUP Ministry provides individuals and families with a second chance in life, supporting them in their commitment to be independent, productive members of our community.
The StepUP program teaches basic life skills, offers the support of a caring community, provides safe housing and opens the door for life-sustaining employment. Each person served by StepUP has the capacity to make decisions that lead to self-sufficiency. The comprehensive program is focused on employment, life skills and self-sufficiency.
In the last 12 months, 189 unemployed individuals have found jobs. The grade point average of adult scholarship recipients is 3.3, and in the next 12 months StepUP Ministry will help over 500 low income and homeless individuals in Wake County. League members provide positive social experiences for the children while their parents attend life skills workshops. |
