StepUP Ministry

StepUp Ministry provides individuals and families with a second chance in life. They offer a hand up, not a hand out.

StepUp Ministry assists more than 550 people annually, primarily serving homeless, low-income, jobless and unemployed individuals and families. The StepUp program teaches basic life skills, offers the support of a caring community and opens the door for life-sustaining employment. StepUp also offers specific resources for veterans and ex-offenders.

JLR Impact

JLR volunteers work with the StepUp children’s program, serving youth from K-12 grades. League volunteers serve as mentors, offering tutoring assistance and guiding the children with careers and college preparation. League members also lead weekly curriculum-covering topics such as financial literacy, global awareness and personal health, as well as plan special events throughout the year.
