The Junior League of Raleigh Chorus consists of almost 20 talented women who have been singing together for more than 30 years. They meet each Wednesday from September through May to prepare a program of music that they share with nursing homes, adult day care centers, assisted living facilities, retirement communities and other volunteer groups throughout Wake County. Singing is great therapy—both for them and for their audiences.
This group of women are some of the most caring, fun-loving, supportive and talented people in the Junior League. Susan Johnson schedules their performances for both fall and spring. Jennifer Moran is their talented director who helps them sound professional and sets the tempo. Marcie Baker is their wonderful accompanist who adds so much, even if they miss a note or two. Winnie Bolton and Kathryn Williams are their musical leaders who choose the musical arrangements for the three parts.
Team Captain Sandy Page says that her goals for the 2007-2008 League year include improving organization, expanding fundraising efforts and increasing interaction with membership and the community.
